We got everyone there
And then they changed their mind and put prices up to 500 pesos person and we was supplying our own food

WARNINGS TO ALL

Air conditioning is old very loud can’t sleep with it on
The is one of the girls on the reception that really should not be doing that for a job
I will stay in Subic bay the next time we come
Rooms are neat and clean, it's good for group of 4, its wheelchair accessible. It's easy for me to push my mom on her wheelchair. There is also s restaurant opens from 7am -8pm. We had our dinner beside the beach and even though they got a couple of servers they tried there best to serve us. They were polite and attentive and comply with every request we ask including the chef/cook, only they don't have room service. The same thing we did the next day during breakfast. It's worth the stay, the place was quiet and not crowded. We have a good parking area for our vehicle. The only downside was the pool, since they don't have a kids pool, it's 5ft, so if you have small kids or toddlers they won't be able to enjoy the pool. You have to resort to going to the beach and let the kids play and build sand castles. The hotel is also near to other restaurants and convenience stores and it's very accessible for public transportation.
This hotel has lots of rooms to choose from. It's a bit pricey though, with overall hotel amenities not commensurate to the rates. Looks like an old resort needing a good renovation, especially their older room units.
The beach has clear water but is not so clean. All the resorts in this long stretch of beach should do a good clean up. The sand is nice to play beach volleyball in, or build sand castles.
The pool is ok, also needing a good cleaning. The compli breakfast was so-so.
Staff though, were quite warm, friendly, courteous, attentive, and helpful. 👍🏼
The executive rooms are very clean and offers a partial sea view. Some staff from the front desk are also the staff at the resto. They are accommodating and nice.
To sit on the table in the open with a beautiful sea view in the afternoon or at night, you need to make reservations + order food.
No more swimming in the sea beyond 6pm. Best to swim from 5:30-7am and 4pm to 6pm.
Food is okay. It is not a lot and is good for small appetite.
Had our company team building here and I can say that the rooms are great. Service and location is also good. One thing i didn't enjoyed much though is the food--a bit bland and fishy
We stayed for 8 days and had a wonderful time! Queen size bed was comfy and our A/C was powerful. The small refrigerator was great as well. Marketing Director Meg introduced herself one morning and she was super nice. There are 5 options for the complimentary breakfast and everything was decent. The best thing about By The Sea though is the incredibly kind and accommodating staff. Special thanks to Jessie, Marie and Gerald for their outstanding service. Maraming salamat sa inyo!
New and improved rooms and restaurant. I always stay here. The staff is friendly and pleasant. The pool is secluded and relaxing. Only steps away from the beach. Lots of bars within walking distance. You can find local cuisine as well as American food nearby.
Modest place to stay. Function hall was spacious. Swimming pool is average-sized, perhaps because this place is right next to the beach. What's great to note is they have a tie-up with water sports business. Advised to reserve it a day ahead for these activities since they still need to coordinate it with the outside group doing it. Beachfront is ok for games, but the beach itself has lots of plants. Need aqua shoes because some parts are rocky and grainy. Nothing much to see underwater except for a few little fish near the plants.
Tried their parasailing activity for 1900 pesos per person. If you want to bring a companion with you on the boat, that's 450 pesos. The 10-minute activity on air is only possible when the weather is good and not raining. It was cloudy at the time I did the parasailing, and the wind blowing was mild. The view on top was good. It literally feels like sailing slow in the wind, so it's a comfortable ride if you're not afraid of heights. Estimated sailing height is roughly like that of a roller coaster.
Our group also took the banana boat ride for 250 pesos per person. However, this was an ordinary ride pulled by a jetski without flipping the banana boat over. If you're looking for more thrill, it might be boring. But for elderly seniors and those worrying about falling into the water, this is okay. The best spot to sit is at the front since it's only pulling the banana boat.
Jetski pictorial. Well, since the jetski was the thing that pulled the banana boat, we asked if we could sit and pose on the jetski and they let us do so for free.
Life vests in the water activities are available with that price. But if you want something that fits you well, feel free to bring your own vest.
Function hall we used was an open-space area. Karaoke is old style but okay to use.
Swimming pool here is suitable for kids or for adults, but with the beach around, it's barely used unless it rains perhaps.
Rooms were nice and clean. The room for 4 people had pullout beds, a good shower area, and a wide cabinet with drawers. There's a safe, but we didn't need to use it. Hangers, however, are few. Aircon was also good throughout our stay.
Food served in our event was in buffet style. So far, it was okay, but the ice tea was too diluted. Other than that, the Filipino food was tasty enough.
This place is conveniently near a small grocery like 7/11, walking distance, so you can get your own extra toiletries or whatever you may need in a handy.
Overall, if you're looking for something that's safe and within a reasonable budget, this resort is a place worth visiting and revisiting, and you can enjoy their modest rooms and water activities.
